As she stepped into the cab; who else said 'Airport please' about 2 seconds before she did? I did a lap of victory around the house whilst my family basked in the sheer power of my 6th sense.

Are you one of the script writers? lol
Haha see I'm a nosey bitch, i wanted to know where she was going once she got to the airport haha
Haven't watched it yet - mr j staged a coup to regain control of the telly grrr
Don't tell me she's leaving. Liz or Elizabethhhh as Jim would say so he would is one of my favourite characters.
Don't ya mean Earlizerbeth? haha
You've got the same disease as I have. It's called déjà vu. Unfortunately with such programmes, you can foresee the dialogue before you actually hear it. I used to be regularly three seconds ahead of Vera and Blanche.
I'm afraid she is leaving, so she is, so catch yerself on, woman.
yes suezy thats better lol
Thank god Jim's going he's always got on my nerves.
They are all so well off in Coronation Street.
Just get up and go ....load of money in the bank ....pile of cash in your pocket and off to Spain or wherever ....at the drop of a hat to start a new life
Worr about yeeee mike... well darn it I liked Liz. Her character was so OTT I thought she was hilarious.
It was prettu obvious.

it was just so cheesy; the voiced 'echo' effect memories in the head, the poignant 'key turning in the door ' shot, the taxi pitching up, 'Airport please' was the only available line.

But Classylady my claim to fame is a friend of mine does write the Emmerdale scripts.
I haven't actually seen tonight's episode, will watch it now with my supper, but if I read you correctly we have one of those scenarios where when a member leaves the cast we get "flashbacks" - I remember them doing this with Elsie Tanner and Bet Lynch.
Has she walked out on Jim before he's convicted?
For Liz fans she's got her own fairwell prog on nx Wednesday 7-30pm ITV1,, I expect there will be clips of all her years in Corrie.

jem
She walked out on him years ago, or rather he walked out on her when he was sent to the Big House, so he did. On the few occasions where he has been written back into the storyline the plots have been so bizarre as to cause suspension of belief. If I remember correctly the last time he appeared he had been released from the Big House, only to kidnap someone and go straight back. As a devotee of the show since 1960, I have to say that he will not be missed, neither will she, so they won't.
Mike, I think you've morphed into Jim McDonald, so you have.
Now catch yerself on, Mrs Chappie, or youse and me are going to end up spending time in the Big House together, so we will.
:o)
