Dont you think men in their forties and over look ridiculous in white trainers? I wouldn't be seen dead in them. What's happened to maturing with style?

We all knew that fluffy....

I just don't like white trainers on anyone because I don't like them. It's up to others what they want to wear....
Exactly China.

I am sure Triggs looks absolutely divine in his ensemble today. Hope he has a hat to match - or maybe a fascinator!!
I seriously do get very het up though about ageism and clothing. Age has nothing to do with what you should or shouldn't wear in my opinion.

I love eccentric old people and plan to get worse as I get even older than I am now!!

I am not in a sorry state!!! But I don't dress to please other people. I wear what suits me not what I am told I should be wearing for my age. I have always been told that I look good - so no problem!!

I look a damn site better in jeans that a load of young people that I see! ///
Quite right LL I'm 86 years of age & I wear jeans every day, I find them practical & comfortable. I must confess that I have not tried white trainers as yet but who knows ?? Cropped trousers no way due to the mottled legs but at least I'm trying (very sometimes) Ron.
You are all soooo critical of others and what they are wearing .Do you have any other worries ?
I wear what I like and sod what people think .Sad ,sad that we are pigeon holed as to what we choose to wear .
White trainers on an older person? Well maybe, just about, if you are on your yacht in St Tropez harbour, - but they will have to be immaculately white!
Depends on the man. Some of us still have enough "it" left to carry anything off. :)
Good on you Ron. My type of guy! x
Ron, My late Mum's boyfriend was in his 80's. They met when he was 75 and she was 65. I never saw him in anything but jeans and casual clothes and trainers. He was an actor. He and my Mum travelled all over Europe visiting friends and relations and regular sailed in his boat off the North Norfolk coast. They enjoyed meals out, dancing, and basically had a great social life. Age means nothing!!
