I would just like to say thanks to those who said that my criminal record should not prevent me from getting a personal license. I have now got my personal license.
I would now like to know whether anybody who has applied for a visa to the U.S.A with a criminal record has been able to get one or not?

The answer is both yes and no.

Some people have managed to get one. Others have been refused.

From your previous posts your crime was theft or fraud, both of which are moral turpitude and make you ineligible for a visa. However there is a process called 'waiver of ineligibility' which means that you could be considered.

As to your chances - pass. My feeling (no more than a guess really) is that 5 years is rather too soon for them to say yes. Unless you were a minor (under 18) at the time.

The fact that you have visited under the visa waiver program and lied about your record will not help you.

The only way you will find out for real is to apply.
