designer labels love them or hate them

a friend of mine is always trying to get a hierarchy by boasting about what she has got.
Her husband bought her when they were NY a handbag from 'bloomingdales' or blooming expensive. Anyway is cost hundreds. I look at it and think why is someone so proud or a boring basic design object with the Luncheon Voucher sign on it LV. Dont think its even made of leather, and she is already has had to have it repaired. Why oh way do people think they have to impress all the time.

I'm guilty of splurging on Radley bags, totes, purses and umbrellas but I couldn't justify spending hundreds on an LV like your friend does.

I don't like the Looey Vooey bags with the LV monogram all over it.
Too brash, and too many copies.
They do a range with a sort of chequered pattern, like a brown and cream chess board effect, which is nice. It doesn't get copied because it's not so "blatant Looey Vooey".
If you see an LV chequered bag, it's probably the real McCoy. Or the real Louis.

I used to be quite into my labels and stuff but now I've calmed down bits, tend to stick with the usual high street stuff that fits me best, only labelly things I get are my t-shirts, mainly because I like the fit of deisel t-shirts and the style of all saints ones. tend to get most of my clothes from Topman, Zara or Hit & Miss (H&M)
