Went to the chicken factory shop today and got a large chicken and four packs of southern fried chicken with BBQ sauce (all packaged for Morrisons). If I'd bought it in the supermarket it would have cost me £18 (the southern fried chicken would have been two for £6 and £6 for the chicken). Anyone bored enough to have a guess at what I paid?
the poncey ones are the ones to avoid, believe me......worth a hunt around though...and also their veg tend to be more flavoursome, allowing for some good washing!! (around here they use an obnoxious fish waste as slurry!)
No offence taken, sherrard. It can't be easy. In the US we used to get amazing deals on spare ribs and the kids loved them - with Dads mysterious marinade sauce - though my eldest worked out what went into it inc the booze!
Bargain Sher!..........and a blessing when you have five little ones to feed!..........where is this factory shop?..........not near me I'm sure, but some other Abers may be near enough to benefit!.................
Sorry, missed you there Yelenots. Got a blackcurrant cheesecake from there some time back made by Ross (the company, not some bloke) and it was horrible, so still on the search for one to rival Sainsbury's. When I do find one, I will remember to let you know.
It doesn't open till 10.30 and some days it is really busy and some days it is empty. Prices to seem to change like the wind and sometimes there isn't much choice.
