Star Signs and Compatibility

I just wondered who believes there is any truth in what star sign you are and how much effect that has on your compatibility with another person. I sometimes find myself believing horoscopes and other times think it's rubbish. This isn't a trick question, I'm just intrigued if I told you that I'm a Sagittarius and my boyfriend is a Leo, what would you think our relationship and compatibility would be like?

If you believe all the guff it's not just a matter of star signs. Apparently you have to take into account your rising sign, moon sign and the position of all the planets and signs at the exact moment of your birth. All I know is that both my husbands were star sign Taurus; the first a disaster and the second the proverbial match made in heaven.

i´m another gemini, and all the people i´ve managed to keep in touch with all my life are also, is that a coincidence?. i think we seem to think very similarly, talk too much, like attention, can get bored easily, have strong opinions which seem to oppose everyone elses

So if your star signs match but your chinese signs are a complete write off, what happens then?

Seriously, it's bull locks. It's been proved several times, plus there was that thing about there actually being another star sign in the system a few years back so that would be 13 and people would probably have to shuffle some of their character traits to the next star sign.

I can't remember what the word is but there is a word for the style of writing that is used for star signs that makes them so generic, they could probably apply to anyone. Dan Brown did a thing as well using this technique and did several 'personalised' reports for people, all of whome were shocked at the accuracy. Each report he did was exactly the same.

I find it very hard to take anyone seriously when they start talking to me about 'star signs', compatability and that God fella. The toothfairy is real though.

Not sure either Ummmm, but my eldest son is Cancer and i have loads of Cancer friends and we all get along pretty well. My younger son is a Leo and annoys the hell out of the rest of us (but we still love him!) he even looks like a leo - he has a rounder face than my other son and if I let him grow it, he has a mane of wavy fair hair.....and he is obsessed with cats - has about 30 of the stuffed things on his bed.

Maybe there is more to it than we think. I wonder though if someone gave us the book of our star sign but swapped the contents with those of another star sign, would we still find loads of things that we thought matched our sign?

the thing about constellations is that they don't exist. Stars may loook like a scorpion-shaped grouping if seen from ancient Babylon; seen from Mars they'd look like a carrot and seen from Alpha Centauri they wouldn't look like anything because they're zillions of lights years apart and aren't a grouping at all. Quite how that affects your character I don't know. They have less gravitational pull on a baby being born than the gynecologist does.

I've got friends who're geminis but I couldn't live with them, you never know which twin they're going to be from one day to the next.

I don't believe in Horoscopes but I do believe in the star signs. Most times through my life when I have made friends I find they are Scorpio the same as myself. I seem to get on better with them that other friends with different star signs. When I do make friends it is for life but if any one does me a bad turn I cannot forgive. I can also take an instant dislike to someone even though I have not spoken to them.I know it's weird but just can't help it.
