Ok, I can't be the only one who is a bit bored of the whole Molly/boat/holy water/nutters/flounce stuff so I'm taking it upon myself to change the subject.

Wanna hear something funny...... (well, actually it's not really funny to me at the mo)

Last Wednesday I woke up in a right mood and feeling rebelious, decided I didn't want to go to work. So for the first time in my life, I pulled a sicky. I used the excuse that I had been up all night with a really dicky tummy and was still feeling awful. Well, my bosses were very understanding, if not even a little concerned and wished me well soon. I had a lovely day with an extra while in bed, watched Jezza Kyle, caught up on my mountain of ironing, etc.

Last night, I wake up at about 4am with rather uncomfortable stomach pains, and spent the rest of the night heading towards the bathroom. So now I'm knackered and still don't feel quite right.

Karma has bitten me.

Any of you had a what goes around comes around moment?

That has happened to me, I phoned in once with the excuse that I had a migraine and blow me down when I had to go to work the very next day woke up with a blinding headache!!!!

P.S. I am fed up with the molly saga too!

And the worse thing is, it was grey and miserable last week. If I had waited until I really had a need to call in sick, like today (well, sort of) then I could have at least enjoyed the sunshine. That'll teach us!
Yep....I always get sick if I pretend to be sick.
Me too. Usually the next day after a skive. I just say I've had a relapse, obviously came back too soon because I'm conscientious like that, and go home again ;-)
Well not quite the same thing but, I did have 2 colds in a matter of 5 or 6 weeks and was off sick both times. I get colds quite often.
i am sick and at work and yes i'm feeling very sorry for myself :-(
I once had a run in with one of our drivers who had filled his car with Shell VPower diesel at a filling station costing an extra 7p a litre. I gave him such a going over that really gave me a power buzz. The very next day I went in to the same filling station and did exactly the same thing - only to be seen by that very driver!!

Well, the bosses are both on holiday together for a couple of days at the moment anyway - not in a gay way like. So I'm gona do jack sh1t today anyway. Almost as if it's their fault I was naughty last week.
I too am fed up with the molly saga. Thank goodness someone has the nerve to voice a negative opinion. I am too much of a coward, except when someone else leads the way.
I've never had a cold...

Lol Welshy, that's worse - you got caught!
well have mine then
I've never pulled a sicky for the sake of a lazy day, but I once had to because OH was at a conference in London and I didn't have anyone to help with childcare between my work starting at 7:30 am and nursery opening at 8:15am. So I took the morning off - cracked on I was sick rather than lose pay for an unauthorised absence. Then felt rubbish the next day, but through guilt I went in.

eh? Dooo? Dooo what?

I'm confused. I need a lie down.
I have to admit I avoid the Molly threads now....
Don't pull sickies when fit to work but then I had a lot of sick time a few years back and feel I have a lot of making up to do...
