dressmaking query.
6 Answers
I'm about to make an evening dress and I want to make it on the bias for a nicer flowing look. Should I lay the pattern on the fabric on the bias to cut it out? I know this might sound like the obvious thing to do but I've never made one this way before and want to get it right.

Somewhere on the pattern is a bold line that you have parallel to the selvage (finished edge of the fabric), & there should also be a diagram showing you the layout of pattern pieces on the fabric. Good luck! Are you taking orders?
