Beech Hedge.

Could anyone tell me please,if it is possible to re-plant one,which has died.
The hedge was planted about 18months ago and thriving,apart from this particular one.

Re plant a hedge or just one tree? I see no problem with just planting one tree, when planting young trees, one will often die off, just replace it with a healthy specimen.

It is just one small tree.All the rest are fine,so thought about taking one of those.Would this be ok ?

I'm sure it will be fine, just give that one a little extra attention as it will be competing for nutrients with the other more established trees.

dg - dont forget to dig a deep hole and water really well, allowing time for all the liquid to drain away. Then add some more soil and water as before, repeat this again until the desired level for planting is reached. Once the tree is planted mulch over it. The tree should be able to thrive wiithin the well-watered soil.
