I normally like to compliment my sons friends
I can't keep saying they are as handsome as filmstars
Can anyone help me

If I had gone around to a friend`s house when I was a teenager and an older, opposite sex family member had kept complimenting me I would have felt quite uneasy after a while. Teenagers don`t really fish for compliments from the older generation. My mother or friend`s mother liking my top for example would have made me want to change it. Teenagers want compliments from other teenagers.

^^ Agreed. Congratulations for good exam results or for getting into the rugby team, fine, but a middle-aged person complimenting someone barely over the age of consent on their looks is definitely a bit suspect in my opinion...
