I have applied for no tickets and am becoming more and more resentful of whats being inflicted on London.

Whilst I shall miss out on experiencing the 'atmosphere' of any Olympic venue....I shall be quite content to have the best seat in the house with as many HD slo-mo replays as the TV companies care to throw at me....
I can understand the frustrations of many Londoners who have/had little say in the organisation of the games, nor the sweetener of having preferential ticket opportunities.

Dave ...
I'm with you there.
Although I've applied for tickets, I do think that the whole Olympic thing has been a huge ego trip which we can't afford, which will not benefit London or the rest of the country, and which could turn out to be simply embarrassing.
If they don't find something to do with the entire complex (other than give the Stadium to a soo-to-be-Division-2 football club), they could end up having turned the East End into a massive ghost town.

I applied for some athletics and judo - sports where you can clearly see who's winning (unlike synchronised swimming, where you can only see who's grinning). It's the atmosphere I'm after, Jack, I don't care who wins and I don't actually want to see slo-mo replays of the javelins. I won't be broken-hearted if I don't get any tickets, but I'm content to have tried.
