fancy dress for street party...help please

Well I wanted to make an effort so I bought a Prince Charles full head vinyl mask which looks like out of 'spitting image' but don't have anything for the body any thoughts??

I could just go in my own clothes and the mask but maybe something on the body would make it more special. I can't afford to buy anything else so it would have to be something from round the house.

I don't want to show flesh or legs btw.

What about pj's and dressing gown?

bit worried I might be the only one dresses up....what about a sign round my neck that says "if i'm the only one in fancy dress kill me"

I was just going to suggest hanging a few plants round your neck. If you don't want to spend any money there are plenty of dandelions about. Or you could make a daisy chain there are plenty of them in flower too.

I'm not sure about the flowers because I would worry people would not make the link...you know between him and his love of flowers and plants. Man if only red velvet curtains were still in fashion, i might have some.

I wanted to go in a double breasted suit with a nice hankie in the pocket and all that, but to charity shops had anything like this. Went in two today and they had barely any clothes esp mens. Don't know if i'm going out tomorrow or not yet so but limited.

bf has old suit but i'st like 4-5 sizes to big.

going to have to do a bit of work on the mask because its hard to see out of and breath lol I can see me fainting on the cake table ...squash...splatter lol

the one I have though has more of a tan and therefore less red ears which is a shame, as it is made in china I wonder whether they even know what charles looks like next week they will paint him a ginger??

I might try and get some blusher from someone to redden the ears
