Seeking a simple mobile

Can anyone please recommend a mobile and 'pay and go' service that's simple to use? All I want is to be able talk to people, send and receive text messages and emails with photographs. Mine, a rather old Nokia (with O2) is ridiculously complex. Surely there's something simpler than having to wade through a 200 page book of instructions, and other little pamphlets saying how wonderful it all is. Grateful for any suggestions please.

I'd like to be able to send an ordinary email and/or a picture message. I have occasionally taken a photo with my mobile and sent it as a picture message to myself and picked it up on my computer to print it. At present my mobile doesn't have an email option as such..
