I was just thinking back re: catering. At the adult education centre (where most of our staff/personal development days take place) they used to provide a 3 course meal for lunch - one of the perks of having to sit through a days worth of team building exercises - then after lunch, we would sit in enormous, generously soft padded chairs which were often situated next to a radiator making the whole afternoon a difficult task to stay awake, never mind focused.
These days, there are drinks and biscuits available in the lounge area during break and lunch. Lunch (sandwiches) can be purchased from the trolley just outside the lounge. We then return to plastic chairs for the remainder of the session.
