I'm finding these continual Google logo changes for often trivial anniversaries, naive, uninteresting, and worst of all, badly designed. Does anyone else feel this, or am I being churlish?

Maybe I am being churlish, but I tend to like logos to be consistent, otherwise what's the point in having a them? surely that's what it is about. If I buy a packet of Marlboro I want it to look like a packet of Marlboro, I wouldn't want it to look different every day.
Google is a search engine that leads many of us into all sorts of weird and wonderful sites...learning along the way. Some of the information is silly or trite,will much of it can be put to use in many ways.
On that basis I think it is quite apt that Google changes it's logo daily....after all-without today's,most of us would not know the significance of today.
It's reminded me of my trip as a teenager to the 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair.
