I have seen " Tod Slaughter" for this one but is Tod a fairy or sprite - not found on internet??

Some have suggested that this is "Annette Bening". I can see how Annette works but what is a Bening and how does it shoot.

Any other ideas would be most welcome

16a. I don't think the answer you have been given is correct. My suggestion for this one, is Faye Dunaway. (A fairy or sprite is known as a fay).

Although it was "solved", I am not sure it is the right answer, although I must admit, I always thought a 'benning' was a handgun, but it doesn't come up when googled. I am still thinking about this, and I am not very well up on actresses, but wonder if it could be Annette (which I think is correct) O'Toole ? (as a tool is slang for a gun). I think I am out of my depth here, and perhaps one of our colleagues can solve this.

p.s. when I helped you with Ewan McGregor, the reason no one could solve it, was because of a spelling mistake. Take young off mother is wean (the anagram is Ewan) and if you google "australian motorcyclist Graham", it doesn't come up with anything - it should have read Graeme ........) not Graham.

Funnily enough, I've been through this lot in my own mind. I think Crosbie is too far adrift - sorry weecalf. I did wonder about Annette O'Toole a week or two ago. It's a nasty one this question!!
