My reaction would depend on how you speak to me. Im not intimidated by the police and certainly wont tip-toe around them to make them feel important.

Knowing the reputation of the traffic police round my way, I'd be tempted to ask, 'Are you trained to have a confrontational attitude toward members of the public, or does it just come naturally?'
