plastering
i have removed all the plaster from the walls in the bathroom and i would like to know is it better to use plasterboard or to get the plasterer to plaster and then skim on to the brick walls .If using plasterboard will it be strong enough to hold a radiator and bathroom cabinets etc and also will it be ok against damp being in a bathroom.

I know you can get all types of plasterboard which include those for use in bathrooms, they have a waterproof membrane or sealant on them. You could use plasterboard but then use plaster to skim over the joins making sure there are no gaps. You then sand it down so its even.
Hope that helps
