Pls be aware that most of uk will have a frost tonight - if you have any tender plants outside then cover or bring them inside

Northamptonshire 3 last night, and I expect same tonight.
Only today I was warning a neighbour about sticking her tommy's ouside today.
Just as well I told her to forget it!
I live in the South, and we`re ok down here, about 5deg to-night, anyway mine are in a covered cold frame.
Damn, I watered tonight because everything was so dry and windblown... fingers crossed.
Thanks Alexanderd. (sorry to hijack your thread Tony) I planted some hardy perennials (campanula) today. Do I need to cover or should they be ok?
Are they seedlings sid or large hardened off plants?
Sidkid any hardy plants should be ok unless its a really hard frost and I dont think that is very likely now
My poor runner beans.....I'll starve !
Fingers crossed, although as Karenmac says, they can always be replaced........

Thanks Tony - I'm all covered up.

I'm planning on buying the bedding plants next week and have a few other bits still in the plastic greenhouse, just some salad leaves out in the open but theu're pretty well established now so I'll have to keep fingers crossed for them.

Trim - 10 courgette plants? Wow! I have a recipe for a lovely courgette cake, remind me when you have a few spare ones.
