Turn it upside down, that way the arms will stay in position.

Open the airer fully, tie a knot in the cord, start from the middle and keep going round until you reach the outside - then tie another knot.
Couldn't say about a particular brand but I have tried tightening a rotary line before now, and it didn't turn out that well. As I discovered, you have to measure and tie the outermost loop in place, as it defines where the arms will be. Get it wrong and you get a stressed frame with maybe a long side and a short side (if you are lucky). But having got that right, the rest is a case of threading and pulling tight, making sure you don't distort anything as you go.
Just make sure that you find a way of holding the arms really locked firm against a (fabricated) frame whilst re-stringing. Otherwise there is a tendency for the arms to be pulled inwards as one strings it, and the starting lines end up droopy versus those done at the end of the re-stringing.
