In 2007 I was caught using a mobile whilst driving. Yes I know it was stupid. I was going through a tough time and just didn't think. Hasten to add, have never done it since.
I believe it stays on my licence for 5 years which means June 2012. Will this make my insurance any cheaper.

Your insurance should be a bit cheaper once you have "no points".

You could phone an insurance broker, and check.

But maybe pull over first.
Offence code CU80 (Using a mobile phone while driving a motor vehicle) must stay on a driving licence for four years from date of offence.

Oh well that is a bit of good news. I thought it was 5 yrs.
stays for 4 the effect is 3 and the insurers will penalise you for 5.
