Nope, thats not it. Im sure he meets her several times in series 1 before that.

She is in series 1 episode 5, as he is trying to dump her. He must either meet her in an earlier episode, or he is already with her when the show first started

5029 is correct, Janice is in and out of Chandler's from the start, they don't actually air there meeting as such.
