how can i sell my home if ex is noncontactable

I have been paying the mortgage alone for the last eight years and now wish to sell up and move on. does anyone know how to go about this when my ex girlfriends name is still on the mortgage but i have no contact with her. Also how is the profit on the house likely to be devided?

This being so, it is impossible for you alone to sell it. If your ex is truly untraceable you will have to take the proof of this along to a Court and apply for an appropriate Court Order. Be warned, though, a Court takes a very great deal of convincing and a long time before they will issue an Order. Take maggie's advice and employ a solicitor.

The equity will be divided in the shares that you agreed when you purchased the property. The fact that you have paid the mortgage for the last eight years probably counts for nothing, as you may well have had to pay a similar sum were you to have been renting, so in effect all you have been doing is keeping a roof over your head.
