We all know the most common ones, but occasionally I find that a regular word has its origins in rhyming slang.

Can you tell me any that would surprise me?

Years ago I found out how rude I was being calling someone a berk, and have just discovered that a 'sweaty' is a Scotsman. (Sweaty sock = Jock)

As Trimeresurus says on the firs page 'arris means one's situpon. Here in Northern Ireland the name for the replacement of the Toyota Corolla sounds a bit like 'arris. So I went to my local Toyota dealer and asked for a test drive of the new Toyota Bottom.

I was escorted off the premises.
