I cant believe it, I had a bit of a winge to boxtops, about the Swifts not arriving back in my eve's . Well at 7.00pm the first one arrived back, by 7.30 they were screeching up and down the side of the house. Three (or so) already in "bed" the rest still doing a spectacular fly by as on the Swift ca.
Soooooooooooooooo happy (yep I'm pathetic, but happy)
oh fantastic, I've just this minute answered your earlier Q! You're not pathetic, that's how I feel every year when they arrive...and very sad when they leave.
Fabulous, I'm so glad for you. We don't have many but they are shrieking about up there still. If we can hear them so loudly from the ground, it must be deafening up there. Your eaves are going to be busy for the next few weeks, let us know how the little 'uns get on!
Must be about 20 Swifts in the eves now, very loud when they return each night, must have laid by now, will let you know as soon as I hear the chicks :)
