Has anyone had collagen injections or surgery to improve their lip volume?

I'm considering doing this but have a few questions. What was the end result like? Are there any dangers? Did you get it here or abroad, if so where? Finally how much was it?

My OH had these about 10 years ago for a back injury, they were done at the GP's surgery by a physiotherapist who held a clinic there once a month, he went about 4 times in all i think and it did help with the healing process as it eased the pain, they were quite painful injections in themselves though, but worth it.

I'm not sure dotty, if they do it might be a different type to the cosmetic stuff or maybe identical. I think I have a lot os question asking and researching to do so I can fully understand if it's definitely something I want to get into or something to avoid.

Maxine if I was guaranteed 100% success this is the one cosmetic surgery I'd consider but the high profile celebrity mistakes would prevent me from daring to do it.

I thought about that too prudie but came to the conclusion that the celebs that did it wrong were actually those that done it right but kept on going back for more and more and overdid it. I'm not sure about you but I definitely don't have an never ending supply of cash to overdo it so hopefully I get it done the right size if I go through with it. I wonder how do you pick your wanted lip size? Does the doctors have a bunch of silicone lips and you say "I'll have number 73 please" ? Does anyone here know?

I thought Leslie Ash (the famous trout-pout) was her first time? I really don't know much about it but surely they just inject the silicone and vary the amount - it's not like breast implants with ready made inserts.

Oh my god, that was her first time? I couldn't look like that as I would just die. maybe I'm getting two procedures mixed up as I heard that there was a lip implant you could get maybe just in the states?
