Golf game - Mean 18

Manyyears ago I had a computer golf game called Mean 18. Is it possible to download this game and get it to run on my present computer running Vista Home Premium? I want to show my granson the sort of games we used to play back in the 1980s!

However it seems like you may have a modern PC as its running Vista, does it have a floppy disc drive as games this old tended to come on floppies rather than a cdrom.

Also to get the game to run on a modern PC you may also need to get a program of the net called DOSBOX which allows you to emulate an MSDOS operating system.

Its fiddly if you are not up on MSDOS as you have to set up settings for memory, sound and graphics etc and to be perfectly honest probably not worth all the effort unless you absolutely must have it.

Thanks for the quick answer, Barney. I'd never have thought that it was still in copyright after all this time.
As well as my current Vista set up I've got an ancient Win98 machine with floppy drive so firing that up could be an option. (or perhaps not!)

Just downloaded it and tested it on my XP SP3 netbook and it works... to a point....
Using option 1 RGB monitor 4 colours it works fine but looks a bit ugly, using option 4 ega 16 colours looks prettier but the text is corrupt and cant be read.

Good luck...my favourite game at the time was PGA Golf the 1st one for a 386/486 , primative but highly playable, better than the beefed up ones on the PC and consoles today playability wise :)
