Thanks to your previous queen, we have a long weekend over here: Victoria Day. It is to celebrate her birthday, and is held on the Monday closest to the 24th of May. So, three hips and a hooray to Vickie, and bottoms up...Cheers!
It was renamed Commonwealth Day which ever since has been studiously ignored since children were stopped going into the playground, waving their flags and singing, "Long live Elizabeth" and " Who were the yeomen, the yeomen of England?"
