Everyone gets tragedies throughout their lives, don't they? Not necessarily the same kind, and I think somewhere this life is referred to as "a vale of tears" but it was given to us and we have to live it somehow or other. The best thing, perhaps is to think of the good things in order to try and forget the bad (difficult I know).

best year 1978 when I got married, 1980 birth of my daughter. 2001 birth of my
oldest grandchild, 2004 birth of my second grandchild and 2008 the birth of my
twin grandaughters.

No doubt in my mind at all......1960........my very first junior job in a hospital. Plenty of experience, worked 12o hors a week, very rarely went to bed on the same day as i got up. Pay was cr@p, Dr's mess and canteen was separate form the patients dining, however late you were on the wards, they would always be eggs and bacon rustled up for you by sister in the kitchen.

Mess parties were legendary,plenty of unbridled sex and the start in that era of "pyjama parties"....Fabulous.....junior Drs today are missing a unique experience.

Best.....Hard one as so many good memories from most years, but will opt for 1989 ( met Mrs Bear in the states ) Summer 1992 got married, 1993 had our first, 1995 had our second, 1998 had our third, and 2001 had our fourth child.

Worst 1991/ early 1992......close family passing on.............and 2004-5........multiple property selling headaches most of the year, till we got all sorted out. Agents were crap on all sides and we did most of the work to see them through. All great now. :0)

Just had a late'sh brekkie on the parade overlooking the sea and views......sheer bliss.
