Anyhow,I may be wrong if it wasn't a typo. A standard Olympic pool is 50metres though.

most regional pools are not that wide, so I doubt you'd ever have seen a full size Olympic pool, there are only about 6 in the whole country.

Most regional pools are between abut 15m and 20m
