I thought it was 22 December 2012 was the date. this is because the Mayan Calendar ends. The Mayans have already died out thoiugh.

Gromit failed to mention Islam, who also believe an end to the world (Doomsday), but say that no earthly being is privileged with knowing when the end of the World will be.

Allah says in the Quran that only he knows when the world will end, but according to Islam these are the major signs of Doomsday.

1. Famine would take place.
2. There would erupt a mountain of black gold from the beds of River Euphrates (in Iraq).
3. Women would ride horses (or be in authority).
4. Children would not respect their parents.
5. The most wicked of them all would be most praised. Not out of respect but out of fear.
6. Adultery and rape would be rampant.
7. Food will be scarce.
8. The value of silver would rise comparatively than gold.
9. Whole of the world would be trapped in Usury system.
10. There would be a lot of Muslims, but not following true Islam.
11. There would be an abundance of information but lack of wisdom.
12. People would have more space for their friends, than their parents.
13. People would love wine and women, and would merrily eat pork.

How many of these can we now tick off?

I make it about 7 or 9, so we still have a while to go yet.

What is amazing , not that nutters make these predictions but that their followers continue to do so. The Jehovahs have made about 40 predictions concerning the resurrection of Christ , the Old Prophets and numerous Armageddons the last two being in 1975 and 2000 and last week when they visited me they were still waving their bibles and pointing to some obscure bible passage to proove they were right.

Maybe we're being a bit hasty. What about that new volcano eruption that has taken place yesterday. Maybe dinosaurs were not wiped out by meterorites after all but instead many simultaneous volcano eruptions surrounding the atmosphere with suphur fumes making it impossible to breathe.
