welsh,i took the train up to the summit of snowdon with my dad in 2005 and we just stood there at the top.it was clear and you could see for miles.it was so serene and dad loved it...but then again he loved being in hayle, cornwall on the windswept beach..doesnt the weather bring such lovely memories??
Not too bad in central london, a little bit windy earlier but it seems to have passed.
Agree with you about our need for rain here in the South, daisynonna - my neighbour planted two packets of carrot seeds and TWO carrots have come up....

Let's hope the wind blows the volcanic ash away from us, we don't want to go through all that again!
80 mph winds forecast here (Lancs) tomorrow!
Hah! Funny you should say that my welsh friend. Because I was on the sea front this afternoon.Mind you, it sure was windy down on the beach. No one around anywhere!!
The sand was blowing everywhere,so my mum and I stayed in the car,but I did step outside to breathe in the sea air, despite my cold.
The sea wind really was strong though.Phew!! The sea was quite choppy too.
I don't know if you know the place, but we were in Ferryside.

The four years I spent living in Wales I am not sure that it ever stopped raining. Absolutely loved it. Great for the complexion had I been that vain. Had a navy duffel coat which in the winter never dried out. Cheap digs, inadequate heating. Those were the days!
Llangollen and Llandudno never get old. We often go.

I'm so cold tonight, talk about freezing ones butt off! brrrrrrr
imho, thanks!...................know where you mean now!..............lovely there too!........
