Sheet of brass or copper

I need a piece of flat metal roughly 3 ftx12 inches for a fireplace hood not having much luck finding any ,any idea ? Thanks

where abouts are you? find a local stockist and ask if they have any way of cutting it or if they can put you in touch with a customer who has cutting facilities.
If its a shape that you require then contact a waterjet company as many laser companies will not touch copper and brass.

try and call a few on here http://www.dentonsweb...,+National/0/1/5/type ask if they can cut to size.

or try ebay for suppliers of offcuts. You dont say what thickness you require

That's quite a big plate - not the normal sort of size you'd get in B&Q. But there are makers of brass door kickplates who'll do any size to order, (for a price!). Google for ''brass kickplate''.

Maybe you could try a sheet-metal working company. They might have an offcut that would suit.
