am now in the enviable position to do as I please. Funds are limited but the spirit is certainly more than willing - CV - used to roughing it - capable - good with animals - have travelled extensively - lived abroad for a thousand years - can scuba dive - ride/drive a horse - not good with children - detest reality TV shows - am of a certain age (well over 60) - love Bondi Rescue -would love to meet my dream man (again) - suggestions on a postcard please.....
C'mon carmalee it was just a joke. Blimey if they put you out to pasture they'd definately put me out there with you. As for shutting up shop well we know you havent but the notice round your neck says 'Closed' if you can turn that around you'd be in business.
Do whatever you want, carmalee - my sister is a great example, she was widowed a few years back, has now met a lovely guy when neither of them were really looking (which is always a good way to do it), they've just come back from the Cape Verde islands.
thanks Boxtops - really nice story - hope they make each other happy
- it's funny how 'man of my dreams' has been picked up on - it was only put in as 'another' - not really serious - must be typecasting - elderly lady looking for fullfullment - can't be achieved without man.
Docspoc -my snorkel is one to behold.
How about offering to pet sit / house sit. You get to meet new people, stay in different parts of the country, work with animals etc or is that all a bit too tame?
thanks Twirls - have been doing that now for a while and it's great - have a hankering for doing something really different (silly old woman - get a grip) - lets see what pans out
Professional dog-walking might be an option. Or if you really want to meet the man of your dreams you could go on a singles cruise. They do them especially for divorced and widowed. Doesn't matter how old you are.
... and if you don't meet anyone, you'll still have a really good holiday in the company of other single folk, which can be quite liberating in itself!
