What type of plant food?

We have one of those spikey plants in a pot, called something like a cordyline.

It is supposed to be green, but is looking distinctly pale and unhealthy. No doubt the cold winter didn't help.

What is the best type of plant food for it? Does it want lawn feed, tomato feed or something else?

It doesn't need to grow any bigger, so I am assuming miracle grow is not recommended.

Repotting it is not an option, as it is already in a huge pot, and I would have to smash the pot to get it out.

have the same problem with some of my cordylines too Hopkirk, sure it was the forst last winter that caused it, I am going to keep feeing fine with just miracle gro!..hopefully it will give the necessary nutrients to keep the plants growing and flourishing!.............We'll see what happens!............

Snap! Sorry I don't know the answer but I did give mine a liquid seaweed feed and it has perked up a bit but it's still not as green as it was.

I was thinking lawn feed, as that greens up the grass quite quickly, but then I guess that is mostly new growth.
I presume I won't get new green foliage until it grows new leaves, and thankfully there are signs of that happening.

I have bought a general purpose plant food, and will try that.
