There was a report in the DT yesterday of a study by the University of Copenhagen which found that having mustard with meals makes you eat less and burn more calories.
The hotter, the better.
Apparently, it increases resting metabolism and can help fat oxidation.
Did anyone else read it?

No, but most spicy food (chilli's/pepper) quicken the metabolic rate.
I wonder if hyperstiulation of the taste buds tricks the satiety centre in the brain into thinking you are full sooner so you eat less
