Chappy in front of me asked for a sausage / beans and something or other - pastie .

Out of sheer idleness I bought a cheese and onion pasty at Sainsbury's today. 55p. I'm not going to enjoy this, I thought. 60 secs in the Micro and it was the most delicious, well-filled pasty I've ever tasted. Stuff Greggs, I could tell you some horror stories about them.

hubby always has a cornish pasty and a sausage roll and me a steak bake they are all palatable, but have a friend who works nights in Greig's bakery factory near Enfield somewhere and she will only have sandwiches/torpedo rolls where they are made up on the shop premises.
