Pond fish

My fish have suddenly hidden themselves after swimming around for months on end. I've spotted some of them briefly so we haven't been cleaned out by a heron. Some may have gone ,however. Any views on what has happened, please

Heron ate most of mine but some were able to hide. Do you have a cat or a dog? Next door's dog ate all his koi, scopped them out and swallowed them, vey expensive loss!

Exactly the same thing has happened to my Mum's fish recently. In her case it is due to a Heron...

Sound like a heron has visited and had some and the rest are keeping well out of the way in case it comes back for seconds. Maybe a net over the pond will deter it.

The local heron takes about 100 every time from friends pond.
Damn thing .. Sometimes catch it there.

i thought my fish had disappeared one spring, They didnt come up for food I put out for them,then came to the conclusion they were not hungry as they were feeding off the tadpoles that had spawned.Maybe this is the case with yours.
