I think it could be good for smoothies, milk shakes etc. I did'nt like the look of the 'baby food' omlette though, and I'd take issue with their soup making method but if you think you will enjoy using it then that's all that matters. Just don't believe all the hype and expect everything to be ready in 10 seconds. Let us know how you get on with it.
I've got one as I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets! I was very excited about getting mine too at the time but I don't think it's as good as I thought (sorry!). It's ideal for making baby food or smoothies but not for chopping because it tends to make everything too sloppy. I've tried chopping onions in it but it comes out too mashed up. I also find the small plastic bits at the end of the cups which help to trigger off the machine when you push it down, is very flimsy. Some of the plastic has already come off one of the cups as I was using it. Without these plastic bits, the chopper won't work. I think the concept sounds good where you can change the cup lids into sprinkle lids, etc, but it needs to be stronger. I now only use it if I want to have something completely mashed up or finely grinded down. Also, there's just one setting so the control isn't great.
I was wowed by the advertising and bought one quite a few years back from QVC. The first thing that worried me was how many accessories it came with, I had nowhere to store them all where I would be likely to want to get them out and use them. After unpacking and washing all the bits, I then tried to 'grate' some cheese just like Mick & Mimi, but it was unable to do this, I then tried out something else, can't remember what, but that didn't work properly either, so much to DD's disappointment, the whole lot was packed up and returned for a full refund. Don't want to rain on your parade so hope that you have fun with yours!
