Keith Vaz Chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee doesn't seem to think it is, but that is rich coming from a Labour MP whose Government let them all in, in the first place.
lol i'm upset in the slightest. I thought you might have looked better saying "whoops i made a mistake, sorry, didn't see the post you were referring to" rather than say it's someone elses fault for using a word that you don't consider means what it means to them - seems a bit churlish to me :)
Don't you mean Ed here are another set of questions, that question my absoloute agenda, however as I don't have either the wit or intellect to answer them. I will cry foul and refuse to answer them.
I think the churlishness is in your imagination - especially as i thanked you for helping me.
I respect other people's right to use different terms to me, but it seems odd that there is no protocol forreferencing this <<post>> i am about to place on this Question, and a totally separate Question I might have placed in this or even another section.
Contrary to their bad press; semantics do matter you know - if we don't know what words mean how can we hope to communicate effectively?
Oh yeah. I forgot, this is the News section - perhaps we don't LOL
.
i can't speak for jack, but i adopt the approach i have had on here fron Day One - voice my opinion, and be prepared to back it up, apologise if I am wrong, or upset someone unintentionally, accept that not everyone thinks I am the kind warm wonderful human being that i try to be.
I'm surprised the MPs have just woken up to this fact. The subject was brought up on AB last year about the back door amnesty that is happening but under another name. It can only point to corruption at a high level.
I think the UK border agency is probably being swamped and has just given up. Due to the generous (and easily) obtained benefits, weak justice system and open border policy, the UK is a priority destination now. Nothing can be done unfortunately.
