Hi,
I signed a contract to a business to work 35 hours a week (full time) when i was 17, at the age of 17 i am at the understanding it is only legal to work part time however i never filled out paperwork or signed paperwork that said i was any age but 17 and i provided both my birth certificate and passport that clearly have my date of birth. i am now 18 however and have been working there for 8 months.

what i whould like to know is how can this affect me?
( is the contract void, have they broken the law, can they retract my wages previously paid, also if i am injured at work do i still stand for possible compensation if it is not my fault )

This is a UK-based site, When people post questions at 3.20am my first thought is to wonder whether the questioner is actually here in the UK or in the USA (or possibly in Canada).

If you're in North America we won't be able to help you here because our laws are different to yours and it's unlikely that anyone on this site will know about them. Please post again on a US site, such as this one

or this one

However if you're in the UK your question is based upon false information anyway. "Young workers" (i.e. people who are beyond school-leaving age but still under 18) can't be employed for more than 40 hours per week:

So (assuming that you're in the UK) you've clearly got nothing to worry about because your employment has always been 'within the rules'.

Chris
i can't see how 17 year olds can't work full time (is 35 hours even considered full time??)
Loads of people start work full time at 17, I did!
If you lived in my district you would think you were lucky to have a job.
Bedknobs, im only contracted to work 28 hours a week, that is considered full time. I actually work 48 hours a week lol
