had a missed call on my mob, didnt know number so rang back. Didnt recognise voice when he answered so i said he must have rang wrong number. He said he hadnt rang anyone and he asked who i was, then i recognised voice of my neighbour and said 'is that nextdoor?' he then passed me on to his wife who said look outside. I did, and the road is full of police! What a great neighbour to keep me updated lol

Very nice neighbourhood watch :-).

How come the police are outside?
So, what was going on...? Tell, spill the beans..

Please
A good neighbour indeed! Are you going to tell us all what was happening outside? lol
Spill 4get - the telly's rubbish so you need to keep us entertained :)

not sure. My bloke is on lookout upstairs as one of the police cars directly outside house so cant watch out downstairs window. One boy has been put into car.
lol, do you run shifts on the curtain twitching?? x

my guess is drugs or domestic abuse. Lovely estate....until they built the council flats.
Go and ask one of the Police persons
This reminds me of an incident a few years back. I'd had the day off sick with a migraine, stayed in bed sleeping with the curtains tight shut. About 1pm my friend rang asking what was happening in our road as it was cordoned off - I opened the curtains and the SWAT squad were outside, all black gear and armed. Some poor woman opposite had shot and killed her 4-year-old and turned the gun on herself. It was very awful. I hope yours is nothing like that ;-(
Question Author
oh god that would be dreadful. I know their are druggies down road and next door to that the womans bloke keeps beating her up.
Question Author
well the boy who was in police car has just got out and driven off.
omg boxy, Awful. That poor woman's mind must have been inside out and upside down. Poor child
I've just looked up the story, it was 2002, how time flies...
probably just pulled over for speeding and they pulled into estate as its safer than main road then
Any minute now, the Old Bill will realise that they got the wrong house.

Have you had sufficient time to hide the evidence yet, 4getmenot?
:-)
I woke up one morning and had the dog out the front before I realised I couldn't really go anywhere as the whole area was taped off and crawling with forensics guys. Turns out a guy across the road had been stabbed to death with a screwdriver.

no redcrx, police woman keeps walking round corner. They had all got out cars and gone somewhere.
Several years ago I came out of my house at 5.30am to be told by the police to go back inside, I told them I was going to work, not today you aint he said. Turned out the guy two doors up had been shot by his best mate. I rang in to work to tell them but they still stopped me a days pay.
Bloomin' heck, micmak! Did your employers think it was some elaborate skive excuse? Seems pretty harsh.
I was once woken from an afternoon sleep after a night shift by my then partner saying 'You won't want to miss this, Clare'. It was the police entering a neighbour's back door with a battering ram! He was a strange bloke, though - prone to driving his car at people in our usually quiet lane (the neighbour, not the former partner).
I came home one early evening to find him 'turfing' the lane, completely unconvinced that the next rainfall would wash it all away. He knocked on my door at a quarter to midnight one night to offer me a 'preview' of his latest video ('on sale at 10am tomorrow, so you'll have to watch it NOW') - which turned out to be edited Sky coverage of that year's TT races, with his own added 'sound effects', and with the Sky logo still clearly visible in the corner of the screen.
He also had the nerve once to tell me he thought I had a 'posh' voice, and would I like to do voiceovers for him? I mumbled an excuse, as I'd heard from elsewhere about the nature of some of his videos!
