My teenage son has just gone off to school leaving me with a list of ingredients he needs for his cookery (sorry, food tech) lesson tomorrow, which is a miracle in it's self as I don't usually get the list until the evening before he needs the stuff! One of the things he needs is choux pastry. Now I've seen shortcrust and flaky pastry in both the chillers and freezers in supermarkets but I've never noticed choux pastry. Before I go trawling round all the shops does anyone know if it's possible to buy choux pastry, or do I have to make it myself (something I've never done).

I couldn't find it on either Tesco or Sainsburys but I think you might be able to buy it from a Bakery.  I should know really since my dad has been a baker for 30 years but he is arranging a funeral at the mo, otherwise I would ask him.
I've never seen it ready made and would be suprised if you could buy it, as unlike other pastries choux is more of a paste thats pipped then cooked.  Do you know what your son has to make..?

No, I don't know what he's making, though they have been doing various pastry things (pies, pasties) over the last few weeks. But now I've stopped panicking (happens very easily first thing in the morning!) I've had a proper look at the ingredients and seeing as it's flour, butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla essence I presume he's making the choux pastry. Oh well, thanks for your replies and I suppose I'd better read the ingredients properly next time!! LOL
You cannot buy choux pastry.  However you can buy ready made ones, usually in frozen section. Choux's are as difficult to make as souffle.
In safeway they do not sell it in the store i used to work at but as it was a smaller store than usual they may sell it at some of the larger supermarkets that sell a wider selection of foods either fresh or frozen.
