Yes! Got my electricity back at 5.30 pm, having lost it at 9.00pm yesterday. No, was not being careless. Plenty of candles but would you believe, nary a lighter nor match?
Desperate for a coffe this morning. Stove not an option to heat water as needs electric spark or match. Cereal for breakfast, not a problem. Lunch? Ready to bake rolls? Settled for a banana. Made a steak and kidney pie tonight. Sooooo happy.

I`m happy. I got back from work today and have 3 days off. I`ve ordered a kayak and am excited about it. I picked an orange one because it`ll be easier for the emergency services to find me! Have a good holiday.
