Largest greenfly I've ever seen!

During the last few days I have seen what seems to be oversized, say 2-3 times normal, greenfly on some young plants. Even my hubby, who knows little about gardening, said wow when I showed them to him.
They are very easy to remove, at the moment anyway - with a flick of a finger at a stalk they fall off.
Anyone else seen these, had experience in the past, and are they even greenfly?

Maybe it could be a lacewing, To see images of one key in lacewing on google,they look like a larger greenfly!

Nope, not a lacewing RAV. They are much bigger. Baby ones are larvae and don't look like greenfly either. They do eat greenfly tho so I hope they make an appearance soon! Thanks.

I saw a big grenfly today - it wasn't a lacewing but it was bigger than a normal greenfly. Maybe it's the same as your bugs.

They look very like that Answerprancer. That would account for more cuckoo spit on my plants than past years. And I would expect greenfly to gather in larger numbers. Thanks Answerprancer and all.

There is a species of very large greenfly that lives on lupins.
