Acrylic nail infills

I had my first set of acrylic nails done for my wedding 3 1/2 weeks ago. I appreciate that I should have gone for infills after 2 weeks but I was on honeymoon. Is it too late now to go for infills or should I just remove them? I looked at one site and they said false nails could last for 4 to 6 months but I really don't see how that is possible?! Please help a complete nail novice!

Yes you can still go for infills, i have left mine for three and a half weeks before getting them re-done
