Hi everyone!
Have any of you stayed at the Excalibur in Las Vegas? If so I would love to know how you rated it. We will be going in october and when we told a couple of people which hotel we are staying, they turned their noses up. Now I am panicking!

In Vegas it classes as 'budget' but well exceeds the standard most people would expect. Those who turn up their nose probably stay at the flashier hotels, I would recommend when you arrive that you pay for an upgrade to get to a higher room over looking the strip (it's not very expensive about $10 per night) but worth it for the views especially at night. To be honest you will hardly spend any time in the room anyway, there is far too much else to be seeing and doing in such a great place.
i stayed there in May of this year. I LOVED IT! nothing to worry about, like LDC said, its considered a budget hotel but you would never know it, they only turned their noses up cause they are staying in one of the posher resorts which make you walk for 40mins before getting to your damn room!
our room was lovely, i didnt get the upgrade but my room was over looking the luxor, fantastic, the upgrade is good but your not gonna be in your room a lot of the time, you'll be outside!
its a good location too, even though its not in the dead center of the strip, its at the best end, right near the MGM Grand, go and see the lions! they are most awake towards 5pm or early morning, otherwise they are just asleep the whole time!
have a fantastic time in vegas, go see shows! and have a chocolate milkshake from Dennys for me!!!
