Just bought a new phone from a second hand shop(reputable) an LG(,sorry don't know which one yet OH is playing with it)It seems to be 2G,so does that mean I need a 2G sim card? The one I am putting in is not recognized yet the phone was unlocked. As all our phones are 'older' ones, none of the sim cards we have work so is it as simple as getting a 2G card?
Thanks for any help
Aya
thought all sim cards ere the same ive got a 8 year old nokia as well as an i phone both cards are the same,, as far as i know there's no such thing as a 2g sim card
card
if its unlocked i should take any card
Thanks,I was sure they where all the same too,so that confirmed that for me.Guess I'm back off to the shop tomorrow!
Thanks for the answers, and the typos are fine,I do enough of them myself.lol

Ah,so the plot thickens-great.I suppose the best thing I can do now is take it to the network provider, unless anyone else has any ideas, since I don't even be able to find the model number.Pity my daughter,it's for her and she's the one who is going to have to figure out how to use it(after her birthday that is)
Thanks Chuck

Just to let you know ,it was a stupid misunderstanding about a password.Took it back to the store and they figured it out in no time.
Thanks for your time everyone
