We are having a BBQ with a 60's theme, any suggestions for starters and puds please.
Already we have included cheese and pineapple, black forest gateau. We know it will probably be naff but good fun too I hope.
Any suggestions very welcome. TIA
cheese and pineapple sputnik...stuck into a grapefruit. Fluffy duff....Chill a small tin of evap milk. whisk until thick and creamy(yes it gets nearly as thick as cream). Dissolve a packet jelly in as little water as possible then fold through the whisked milk. Serve with crumbled flake round the edges. Or, if you use orange mandarin oranges from a tin.
Hiya, I seem to remember a pud from my school days, Chocolate Cornflake with Pink Custard MMmmmm.... or why not try Baked Apple stuffed with raisin and a dusting of mixed spice powder or Banana with Smarties inserted through small slits in the skin ( both cooked on the barby ) served with a Cointreau Sauce.... and for a starter Devilled Eggs..( They go so well with Beer ) Hope this is of some use...
