london victoria to heathrow

Hi all,
could any seasoned travellers to London give me some kind of idea of the best way to get from London Victoria to the Ibis at Heathrow and approx how much I would be likely to pay? i will be travelling on a Thursday afternoon if that makes a difference?

Get the district or circle line to South Kensington, then get Picadilly line to Heathrow Central. Come up the escalator to the Central Bus Station then get one of the local buses to the Ibis (I presume the Ibis is on the A4 Bath Road)?

The tube fare will be a few quid but the bus (providing it`s London Transport and not metrobus) will be free as it`s within the airport Free Zone.

thank you 237SJ that's really helpful! Sorry to be thick though - do you mean there's a free London Transport bus from Victoria or from the Central Bus Station at Heathrow Central..(Does anyone else get the feeling I shouldnt be travelling at all!!??)

The free bus is from Heathrow bus station. All the buses within the airport zone are free as a way to reduce congestion.

Ibis Hotel Heathrow Airport is 1 km from Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3 and 4. Hotel Shuttle Service Hoppa Bus H6 (T1,2,3) and H56 (T4,5) to and from the hotel runs every 20 min from 5.30 am to 11 pm, 4GBP each way. FREE Local bus service from central bus station from 5.30 am to 11.30 pm (no.105, 111).

There is also a Coach from Victoria which may be cheaper.
